Regulation & Learning Coaching
Building awareness of body signals, reducing overload, and developing supports that make learning, language, regulation, and connection easier to reach.

Regulation is not the same as being calm. It is the ability to move through changing states while retaining—or regaining—enough capacity to think, communicate, connect, and make choices.
When that capacity changes, behavior often changes. Understanding why is where the work begins.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families who are trying to understand why learning, language, regulation, or connection can be available in one moment and difficult to reach in another.
The work is especially relevant for autistic and ADHD people while remaining open to anyone whose experience fits the pattern. A diagnosis is not required.
I am based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and work with individuals and families across the country.
Recognition
Perhaps your autistic child holds it together at school and melts down when they get home. Your teenager with ADHD understands the homework but cannot get started. Language disappears under pressure. Sensory demands or transitions change what is possible. Skills are available one day and unreachable the next.
Or perhaps you are beginning to recognize the same pattern in yourself.
Different lives. Different presentations. The same important question:
What changed access?
The Reframe
Behavior alone is insufficient evidence for understanding a person.
I begin with the environment, the body, and the state a person is in—what their nervous system is carrying, what demands are present, and what might be interfering with access.
From there, we identify supports, test small changes, and pay attention to what actually helps.
The goal is not to regulate someone into tolerating harm or becoming more compliant. It is to restore enough access for understanding and agency to return.
Ways We Work
Building awareness of body signals, reducing overload, and developing supports that make learning, language, regulation, and connection easier to reach.
Understanding initiation, attention, working memory, transitions, and follow-through as access questions—not character flaws.
Making sense of patterns, adjusting the environment, and responding in ways that protect connection without removing agency.
Organizing what families are seeing across home and school, clarifying questions, and preparing for more productive conversations with educational teams.
Who Is Welcome
Children. Adolescents. Young adults. Adults. Parents and families.
Some people arrive knowing they are autistic, have ADHD, or are otherwise neurodivergent. Others do not have a formal diagnosis.
The common thread is not a category. It is changing access—and the need for support that is individualized, non-shaming, and grounded in what is actually happening.
Begin With Understanding
If this way of seeing the problem feels familiar, tell me what you are noticing. We will decide together whether coaching or educational consultation is the right fit.
